Artist's Description
Photographed another series of close up bee images, this time they were attracted to a bunch of purple aster flowers. Once again I visited Stanley Park in Vancouver, BC in late summer time. There were quite a few bees flying and landing on these flowers so I didn't have any problem finding photographic opportunities. They are just so fast and quick. For all my images that I shot for these series on bees I used a ring light for exposure. It provided with the best way to get consistent looking images, and the added depth of field I wanted for sharpness. Because when you are getting up close to photographing insects, just a sliver off sends your image out of focus. I really had an enjoyable time doing this and I hope everyone enjoys these images.
