Description
What a special night for sky watchers especially "Moon Gazers". A very rare event we witnessed on the evening of September 27, 2015 here in Vancouver, British Columbia. I call it a triple header, where we have full "harvest" moon, a "Super" moon, and a "Blood" moon all at once. Where I was here in Vancouver the moon would start rising above the horizon around the same time the sun was setting. It wasn't until after 7:30pm PDT
that the moon was visible. It was hiding behind a thin bank of clouds low down when it appeared it was climbing it's way high into the sky. I was able to photograph in all in one image this shot looking towards the east down towards the Iron Workers Bridge over the water. I photographed with a 300mm lens and was able to capture a pretty cool image of the moon at full eclipse. It turned out to be a very lovely evening here at Stanley Park around the Seawall from where I photographed this image.
